The shirt traveled 8,500+ miles from VA Tech but the hat went almost 10,000 miles to be there. (9,945 according to Google Earth.) It's from Denali National Park in Alaska. In the very best Gary Havenstein tradition it was bought at the Park bookstore, uh, giftshop, when I was there in 2006.
